Motherly Advice?

How early is too early? Lately the kids have been getting up anywhere between 7 and 8. And without fail the first words out of their mouths are "I need food". Now 7 is really hard for me because I usually spend most of the night switching from side to side and resituating or getting up to go pee 5 times, etc(such is life of a 31 weeks pregnant lady). Neil has been so awesome about handling these certain mornings for me. So this morning at 6:45 Adia makes her way into our room with her usual request, Neil sends her straight back to bed because there is no way that we are going to start giving them breakfast before 7 in the blessed A.M. Surprisingly, she fell back to sleep. Now that got me thinking "could I get away with sending them back to bed even after 7?". So here is my question: How early is too early, and should I just be happy when they sleep past 7 or try to demand it(yes I realize demanding anything like this from 2 year olds is a very tall order and probably crazy)?

I would make up some easy early am snacks... like dry cereal or string cheese and let that tide them over. Let your day start rolling when you are ready to roll.
Save your sanity.

I didn't realize you were expecting... congrats! and I vote for you to get some rest.

I won't let Tyson get up before 7am. If your girls know their #'s or at least what the # 7 looks like, get them a digital clock for their room and tape paper over the "minutes" side, so that only the hour shows. Tell them that they're not allowed out of their beds until they see a 7 on the clock. I can't remember how early we started Tyson doing this, but it WORKS. Perhaps 2 is still too young... I can't remember! Good luck though, I refuse to get up before 7am too. Congrats too on #3, it's going to be fun!
