Easter Dresses

So my sister Charity was out of town for seriously the whole month of March. And for sanity purposes I tend to spend a lot of time at her house. So to help keep me sane while she was gone I decided to make Evelyn and Adia Easter dresses. I'm pretty excited with how they turned out. I decided to take a bunch of pictures, so here are a few.

This was the first picture I took. Adia looks so surprised with her wide open eyes.

Evelyn lately has started with this one lifted eyebrow thing. I didn't even realized she was looking at me like that until I went back to look at all the pictures. I thought it was pretty funny.

Of course this was the last picture I took, because they finally both decided to smile. But luckily I was ready and caught them both on camera.

Apparently when Mommy sneezes its the funniest thing to Evelyn.

I couldn't get Adia to smile hardly at all. She just wanted to study the camera.

The Duck...

So the girls have this little duck that seems to be one of their favorites. There is only one duck, so yes, they share. Like I've said before Neil has a wonderful talent of making this completely hilarious. His favorite things to say when Evelyn or Adia are wrestling the duck...
"Your daddy's a hobo!" or
"Your mama wears army boots!"
He usually says it in this low gruff voice as if the duck is saying it, I always get a good laugh out of it.

Lots and Lots of Fun with Daddy

Neil is such a great Dad, he tries so hard to make time to spend with his girls, and he never ceases to bring about a good laugh while he's at it.
Gangsta Babies? Yes, while I know those tights belong on their legs, I can't quite control where Daddy decides to put them
Some quality snuggle time with Evelyn. Neil and I both agree that sleepless nights are well made up for when they are fully content to snuggle while you catch up on some lost sleep.
While Daddy writes a paper, Adia and Evelyn offer as much constructive criticism as he can take... more like offer a fair distraction from his video game.
Custom made Adia? While I feel fairly positive that Adia was indeed custom made, I'm also fairly certain she did NOT come in a guitar case.
Like I said Neil is a wonderful Dad. He never ceases to amaze me with his patience and diligence in keeping up with school and work while being an awesome dad as well. I feel so blesses to have this beautiful little family.

Thanks, Grandpa and Grandma May!

My little darlings have graduated to "big girl beds" (as Daddy refers to them as). We were excited and a little nervous to suddenly start putting them in separate beds. But they seem to enjoy the space to wiggle freely on their own. Below is Evelyn smiling for the camera.

These are the 2 beautiful cribs Grandpa and Grandma May got for us. We are so grateful for they're willingness to help us out anyway that they can.

"Do I Know You?"

Evelyn and Adia are starting to recognize each other a lot more now. I love it when I put one on her belly and the other on her back and they sit and stare at one another. I think it is so cute! Sometimes when one is crying, the other will start yelling, not crying, yelling. As if to say "Hello, nobody is listening!" I just love it!

5 Months Already!

Its hard to believe that my babies are 5 months old already! They are getting so big, and they wiggle and smile all the time. Well, big being a relative term, I just moved them into 0-3 sizes. I don't really get a lot done around the house because I just can't help but lie down next to them on the floor and talk to them, because they love to talk back. They always want to play, and will protest as soon as you walk away, and then greet with a smile that says "haha, you're wrapped around my finger". So I'm posting a few more recent pictures.
Adia loves hanging out with Daddy. Its fun to see how excited they get when he comes home from school or work he is almost always greeted with a pair of big beautiful grins, and 2 pairs of excited kicking legs.
I'm still trying to catch both of their sweet little smiles on camera. I can catch them with my phone but not with my camera because the flash and stuff.
I thought this picture was pretty funny cause they both look like they're wearing some sort of head dress.
Once again with the head dress thing.
Baby Cop... I guess. So I have to apologize for this picture, I know its sideways, but I didn't realize it until after I had uploaded it and written the captions for all the other picture.

I finally put my electrical knowledge to use...

...and invented the baby volume knob. That's right. Please make a nice, orderly, single-file line for ordering. Finally, a way to get great baby crying sounds at whisper quiet volume levels.
